Benitez Mocks Champions League Play-off

Entering straight into our Top 10 List of Least Surprising Comments is Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez with his ridiculing of the recently proposed Champions League play-off idea.

“We are playing too much now.” said the manager of the team most likely to be threatened by the play-offs.

“If we now play the play-offs we’ll be playing until the end of the century.”

Not that such a response was especially hard to call, FI did still call the under the guise of already playing too much football counter.
