Arsenal (3rd) play Everton (12th) at the Emirates, 9 January 2010, 3:00pm.
Even with injuries to major players like Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott and major injuries to major players (Robin van Persie), Arsenal have won their last four games and are arguable the most consistent team in the English Premier League.
Everton by contrast are having one of David Moyes’ down seasons and are likely to be lower-mid table all season. They are however playing better and are actually unbeated in five, a run that included matches against Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and the in-form Birmingham City. They have won only one of those five though.
Historically, Everton do not have a good record at Arsenal and there is little to suggest that this will change on Saturday. Eduardo is beginning to look like a striker again and even if Fabregas is on the bench, Everton are in for a rough trip.
Best Bet – Arsenal to win.
First scorer -Eduardo.
Worth a punt – Vassiriki Diaby to score.
Prediction:
Arsenal 4 – 0 Everton
